Jeff Keener:

As the President of Black Bear Consultants, Jeff Keener sets the company’s strategy and provides leadership and training to staff. Additionally, Jeff manages a client base and conducts executive level searches.

Prior to founding Black Bear in 2000, Jeff was a Business Unit Director with TMP Worldwide (a division of Monster.com), responsible for leading the organization’s HR Search group. He started his career with BREED Technologies, a tier-one auto supplier. Often working around-the-clock, and managing 200+ open requisitions at a time, Jeff helped drive the company’s growth from $200m to $1.4b. At 26 years old, he was the youngest Corporate Director of Human Resources in a $1b-plus company.

Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Southern College. He lives in Asheville, NC and his passions outside of work include mountain biking, skiing, ice climbing, mountaineering, hiking and running. If he isn’t in the office, odds are he is doing one of the above.
